How to Create a Storybook Altar
After the delight of envisioning the new story, and the powerful transformation that occurs when you heal whatever has been getting in your way, the final step in the storybook process is to summon the new story you are being called to create. And for the next couple of days, I get to talk to you about how to do that.
An Altar for Magical Manifestation
Today, let’s look at creating an altar. Many people think of altars as dedication spots for worshipping your favorite goddess or deepening your spiritual connection. But they also can be places for magical manifestation.
You need a small surface, like a table top or shelf. Or drawer, if space is really limited. And on that space, you want to place any healing or magical tools you already use.
But you also can add to your altar written descriptions and symbolic reminders of what you are calling into your life.
Just like altars designed for worship or spiritual connection often have pictures or symbols that represent the deity they are working with, your altar needs to have something that represents your goal.
So that when you walk by it each day, your new story calls out to you.
Not only do you want to load it up with manifesting power by adding clear quartz crystal, and maybe other crystals or tools whose superpowers match your magic wish, but also at least one thing that symbolizes that wish and reminds you of it easily as you pass by.
What would that be for you?
Your homework is to find a spot and look for at least one thing, even if it's just the written description of what you’re creating, to put there. Once it is there, say a prayer or blessing. And ask your spirit guides if you’ve left anything out that needs to be there. If you have time, you also could add a candle and light it in honor of the new story.
Love to you!
