"Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing." -Arundhati Roy
Did you see them? All around the world. They were amazing!! It certainly proved that we're "stronger, together," right? According to the Women's March website, not only were they 5 million strong, but they are finished! Check the website, because there's more to do.
I am so proud of them, and so grateful to the people in other countries who stood with us, in solidarity. They made it obvious that they care what's happening to us, and that if there was going to be a protest, they wanted in on it.
That was SO moving to me! Was it to you, too?
I think what stood out most to me was that we, the vulnerable, do have a voice, together. And it occurred to me that I can connect to that energy, the powerful-voice-we-can-do-it-together energy, anytime I want. So can you.
Prove it to yourself. Take a look at that picture, and remember seeing it on TV or on social media. Find a video if you need to, and connect to that energy.
Empowering Spiritual Activism
One of the things that meant so much to me yesterday was that the marches were peaceful & powerful! All day, I prayed (and so did many others) that the marches would be safe & peaceful, that they would attract a lot of media attention, and that they would make those of us feeling more vulnerable feel more connected & empowered. And I held space for that to happen.
So whether you are going to protest in person, online or completely behind the scenes, supporting the others who are out in front, you can empower the activism spiritually.
You can hold space for all to go well, pray for & imagine the results you are hoping for and even create an activism altar or crystal layout to support it. I'll write more about it in part two of this post series on activism and spiritual support, but I hope I am inspiring you already to think about how to add a touch of magic to your activism.
Love to you!
