What's Right in Front of You?
A lot of you told me, either in a comment or survey, that you aren't sure what your big vision or story is yet.
Right now, you're just going through the motions.
Or dealing with stress you can't change. And maybe you have a hint or a sense of it, but it doesn't feel like now is the time to dive into that.
There's too much else going on. I've written this post for you...
The Tree Meditation
Get as comfortable as you can, and begin to focus on your breathing for a moment. As you breathe in, deeply and slowly, breathe in relaxation.
As you breathe out, exhale any sneaky stress that has attached itself today, and let it go. Just for a moment, be without it and embrace peace, instead.
Now, imagine that you are leaning back against a big sturdy tree. What is the story that needs to be nurtured in your life right now?
Not the big dream. Not the big vision. It's okay not to even know what those are yet. But what's right in front of you?
If you're not sure, lean back again and ask the tree to tell you.
Exchange your confusion and doubt and anxiety for its deep wisdom and powerful knowing. Let the breeze that is ruffling the branches above you whisper what you need to know.
Then, make both a commitment & a wish for what you want to do about that story. If you're not yet ready to fully embrace it or run hard after it, are you willing to begin to whisper it to yourself? To see it in your dreams?
If you need a little help with that, then soak up some more love from the tree while you're still there. Lean back even more into its strength, and exchange whatever makes you hesitate -- doubt, anxiety, the daily stress you can't get rid of that is everpresent -- for courage and strength and confidence.
Imagine that the breeze is blowing the scent of lavender your way. Let it calm you. Then find that strength that's now inside of you. Stay with it until you feel both peace & confidence.
Then, thank the tree for its inspiration & wisdom & healing and begin to come back to full awareness. Wiggle your toes. Maybe stretch a bit. And come on back fully.
Write down whatever came to you during the meditation to make sure you don't forget it. Let's let go of the story you don't even know about yet or aren't sure of, and start working on the one that's right in front of you.
Whisper that one to me in your comment.
Love to you!
