How You Can Rewrite the Stories
that Create Disenchantment
I'm not really intuitive
You can only believe the things you see
I'm probably making it all up
I was always told I have a big imagination
I'm too busy to "tune in"
I've got too much stress to be charmed by enchantment
Enchantment is for kids
Do any of those possibilities resonate with you? What else came to mind?
Enchanting Your Heart:
A Five-Minute Exercise
Take a few deep breaths in, and close your eyes for a minute. While they are closed, imagine that you can look inside your heart. Ask yourself, "where in my heart is there room for enchantment?" And for every space you see, imagine a faery stretching out her magic wand toward you to make that space bigger.
Now ask yourself, "what words describe the enchantment I want to make plenty of room for in my heart & in my life?"
Take another deep breath and open your eyes, writing down everything that came to mind. Fill that heart on your paper full of enchantment.
Look it over and notice that now there's no more room for disenchantment! What do you have to let go of to make room?
Stressful situations? Doubt? Stories that need rewriting? Stories from the past that need healing?
Write those things outside the heart, in pencil.
Then, each day, look squarely at one of the things outside the circle. Give it a rating. How real is it to you? How much does it bother you?
How much does it get in the way of your enchantment? Write that rating down.
Ask your faery guide (if you haven't yet formally met, decide to assume your guide is there) to touch this thing you need to let go of with her magic wand or with faery dust and heal it.
Once you see that happen in your mind's eye, mentally, rate it again. Keep doing that each day until it goes down to zero, and when it does, erase it & move on to another one.
By the way, this change is likely to be a gradual process. Be patient with yourself. There may be stories you aren't quite ready to let go of yet. Give yourself an extra-big hug for those!
Love to you!
