It also fills your energy field, and can hang out there long after your initial physical or emotional response seems to be over.
Reiki practitioners call that a sweep and often use it before & after energy healing sessions to clear the energy. But you can do it, too.
I'm used to it now after more than 15 years of energy healing, but one of the first times I tried it, after being overwhelmed by a long, stressful day at work, I was amazed at what a difference it made. Suddenly, I wasn't as exhausted as I thought. And I continued to feel better even after I finished sweeping the air around me.
Stop what you're doing right now and try it. But first, take note of how you're feeling. Has there been any stress you might need to sweep away? Give it a try & see how you're feeling afterward.
You do that 3 times in a row & then, turn an imaginary lock on your chin, which is a reminder that only you can open up your energy field. Once you have done the zip-up, your energy field will be much less vulnerable. Now that you've swept your energy field, try zipping up & notice how you feel the next time you are with others.
